Lauren Ross Dean has been living in Las Vegas since graduating from Georgia Tech in 1974. She has two children, Ryan and Katherine, and is married to Curtis Fitzgerald. Lauren has been working at UNLV since 1988. In addition to downhill skiing, bellydancing, and Shakespeare, Lauren competes and trains horses with her husband for barrel racing. In 2004, she was the Nevada State Champion for the American West Barrel Racing over-50 class. The trophy saddle sits in her office at UNLV.
